Bitter Love – a limited edition from Haupt Lakrits. Slow-cooked salted liquorice surrounded by caramelized dulce chocolate flavoured with coffee, crispy cocoa nibs and "black sugar" from Okinawa.

This combination of sweetness, saltiness and bitterness offers a sophisticated meeting of contrasts. Here, saltiness, smooth sweetness and roasted notes meet in an intense and elegant combination. Haupt were extra passionate about the unique black sugar from Okinawa, whose deep, syrupy character is very reminiscent of liquorice and ties the entire flavour profile together.

About Haupt Lakrits

Haupt Liquorice was launched in August 2014 by Christian Haupt and is based out of a small liquorice studio near Stockholm, Sweden. They focus on small batch production of liquorice using the highest quality ingredients that they can obtain. Haupt Liquorice are known for producing liquorice contains as much as 9% raw Calabrian liquorice and for cooking methods that produce intense, smooth and mature flavours.

70% dulce chocolate (cocoa butter, sugar, WHOLE MILK POWDER, milk sugar, WHEY POWDER (MILK), skimmed MILK POWDER, brown sugar (2%), emulsifier (SOY LECITHIN), natural vanilla flavour, salt), syrup, wheat FLOUR, sugar, invert sugar syrup, 3.5% raw liquorice (Calabria), black sugar, coffee, cocoa nibs, ammonium chloride, colour (vegetable carbon), star anise, glazing agent (carnauba wax). Cocoa content, minimum 30.4%.
